Container molding conditions are controlled by a state-of-the-art electronic controller with a liquid crystal color display. Up to eight sets of complex molding conditions are easily reproduced for the stable molding of high quality products.

In the PB Series, ASB has further developed the concept of the PF Series, in which the preform is cooled before re-heating. With this system, the preform temperature is stabilized, resulting in a high quality final product.

Thorough re-evaluation of the machine mechanisms and molds has made possible a much more compact design. For example, only 11,880mm long, 3,490mm wide and 3,500mm high, the PB170/170-32/8MII can produce 9,600 500 mL light weight water bottles an hour.
Outstanding Economy and Improved Productivity
Price reform was also a major theme in the development of the PB Series. Variation in the range of machines resulted from making heating and blowing units that are interchangeable with those on other models in the series. This also greatly increased economy. ln particular, the hot runner unit can now be used for a variety of molded products, further improving the standardization of molds, so that the user is able to make considerable cuts in plant and equipment investment.
